use AA,BA miles to redeem Cathay Maldives flights

Recently, many friends talk about Cathay pacific new route from Hongkong to Maldives, this is a good news for frequent flyer who have AA, BA miles. Because, oneworld alliance has a flight to Maldives

In fact, before 2007, America airlines have a partner, called Air Sahara, it have a flight to Maldives, but then this airline stop partnership with AA, and AA miles cannot redeem reward flights to Maldives. Although later etihad airlines join the AA partner, but no use for US live in Asia

Until comes the malaysia airlines, but friends feel malaysia airlines fuel tax is too expensive.
 Cathay Pacific is now come, its a oneworld member, you can use AA mile to redeem business class reward tickets for only 60000 miles
And for friends in Hongkong, you can use BA Avios to redeem reward flights, economy class roundtrip for only 25000 miles. Business class 50000 miles.
And if you are frequent flyer of the Alaska airline milage plan, from Hongkong to Maldives you just need 45000 miles for a roundtrip business class reward tickets.
