Matmid combine cash with points to upgrade to business

EL AL Matmid frequent flyer club “upgrade” offer which allows club members to combine cash with points to upgrade from economy to business, and business to first. Originally, this was a promotion that was offered periodically but has since become one of the many regular benefits available to EL AL Matmid frequent flyers. EL AL is one of the few airlines in the industry offering its loyal passengers this added value opportunity throughout the year. EL AL Matmid frequent flyers who travel the most (Top Platinum, Platinum and Gold members) receive a complimentary Economy Class Plus seat when purchasing an economy class ticket. Economy Class Plus is a new class of service offering passengers more legroom, more seat recline and preferred seating in the economy cabin, available for travel as of July 1. A travel companion of a Top Platinum member in economy class also receives a free Economy Class Plus seat. Every other Matmid frequent flyer has the option of exchanging points for one of these seats. The Matmid Club provides benefits and promotions, is more user friendly than ever, and has no blackout dates. Matmid points can be exchanged for bonus tickets and upgrades. Points can also be combined with cash to obtain a ticket.  EL AL Matmid partners include American Express Membership Rewards®, American Airlines AAdvantage®, a variety of international car and hotel companies, plus many more. EL AL also offers a special frequent flyer club just for children called “Matmid Kids” whereby children under the age of 12 earn the same number of frequent flyer points as adults even though their roundtrip tickets are already discounted. EL AL also has a pet frequent flyer club.  After traveling three roundtrip flights to Israel within a three-year period, pets earn a free roundtrip flight.
