BA Executive Club add avios bronze tier

Currently, BA’s Executive Club has three tiers of members – blue, silver and gold. It is now adding a new 'bronze' level to the membership plan.
It is free to register with the Executive Club and all members start as blue card holders.
Flyers earn 'tier' points to improve their membership status as they travel. For example, members earn 75 points for a return flight to New York in discount economy. These points are distinct from Avios points, which can be earned simultaneously.
Once a member hits 300 Executive Club tier points they graduate to the new bronze status. Members continue to earn Executive Club points and graduate to silver status if they earn 600 within a year. They need 300 points in that year to keep their bronze status.
Similarly, a new silver member has a year to hit the gold threshold of 1,500.
Following today's improvement to Executive Club terms, BA will award bronze card holders with 1.25 Avios points for every mile they fly, up from the 1 point that would usually be earned for each mile flown under the Avios scheme.
Silver and gold members earn 2 Avios points for each mile flown.
